Where you’ll be
About the Accommodation Maison & Village in Quarante is a character-filled, three-storey village house set on a quiet pedestrian street in the heart of a small, working wine village.
It’s the kind of place where mornings start with the sound of the Marie (town hall) bells, neighbours say bonjoir as they pass, and everything you need is just a short stroll away.
Inside, the house unfolds over three levels — airy, light-filled spaces with a mix of vintage finds, comfortable furnishings, and those small touches that make settling in feel effortless.
There are rooms for relaxing, rooms for working, and rooms for simply slowing down, each with its own view of rooftops, vines, or our little courtyard. Step outside and you’re moments from vineyard walks, the local bakery, the wine cave, and the rhythm of daily village life. Whether you’re here for a long stay, a creative break, or a sun-soaked adventure through the Languedoc, this is your base for living like a local — with comfort, charm, and a pace that feels just right.
When you arrive, our lovely French housekeeper Vanessa is on hand to meet you, help you settle in, and share a few local tips — from where to buy the best baguette to which vineyard has the nicest terrace that week.
Quarante is a small, working wine village, so expect a relaxed pace: church bells, friendly neighbours, morning markets, long quiet evenings, and starry skies. Shops close for lunch, people chat in the street, and life moves gently. It’s all part of the charm. We’ve put together a guide to help you find everything easily — parking spots, cafés, walking trails, brocantes, and our favourite places for a good glass of rosé.
You’ll have everything you need for a smooth, comfortable stay. If anything comes up, we’re only a message away.
